To help keep all characters on an even playing field, we handle Beats here a little differently. Although characters will still earn Beats the same way they are presented in the books, they will be exchanged for bonuses instead of XP. Please see below for the various ways that Beats can benefit characters:
- Regain Willpower on a 1:1 basis.
- Add a bonus to a roll on a 1:1 basis.
- Cancel a negative modifier on a roll for a 1:1 basis.
- Gain a beneficial Condition.
- Get rid of a negative Condition.
